Hornet Corporation is developing the Wayne Brown property in Overton County, Tennessee. The Brown tract contains what has been Tennessee's largest oil well producing in excess of 274,000 barrels. Hornet opened the property for new development by hitting the Wayne Brown #1 well in August of 2017. The Brown #1 blew 40+ barrels of oil into the pit within an hour while drilling.
The new oil well is located in the Miller Mountain Oil Field, which is one of Tennessee's best oil fields.
